During my first year of college, I used a regular old smartphone to document the memories of friends and some campus events. The thrill of my first trip and college events, and posting them on Instagram was enough.
In the second year, I could quickly improve my videos through a new phone. With this new tool, I made more videos that were general and became the official videographer of some school activities. My skills developed and so did my interest in making visually appealing things.
In my last year of University, I worked as a freelance Videographer, this meant that I actually made money doing Videography but more importantly, it gave me real world experience and opportunities to work on all sorts of different projects from event videos to commercials, which really helped me grow as a Videographer.
After completing my graduation I joined CDA Academy for digital marketing and improved myself more. That was a life changing experience for me in which I learned an advanced level of videography and social media handling, learnt how to be more creative in making content, and how to edit videos according to different platforms and reach the audience.
Learning and Growing at CDA Academy
Looking back at my journey, I’ve realized that every part of it has been necessary for me to grow. From shooting with a cellphone, to professional freelancing, to higher education each step has taught me something invaluable. Getting an education in digital marketing has made me a better videographer and more well-rounded content creator. This journey didn’t just mould my profession but also my love for capturing stories through video.
As a digital marketing specialist in Calicut, I use these abilities to help businesses grow online. My journey with videography has given me the power to create visual content that suits the people who watch it and will help make an effective and long-lasting impact on our digital marketing strategies.
